Home to nearly 100 million people – half below the age of 35 – Vietnam has one of the fastest growing economies in the world. Rapid urbanization – the fastest in Asia – and an expanding middle class eager to improve their lives are contributing to a robust domestic consumption story that helps propel economic growth. Vietnam is quickly becoming a manufacturing hub in the region, with many of the world’s leading manufacturers moving their production to the country, benefitting from competitive wages, an educated workforce, and a stable government that has signed the greatest number of free trade agreements in Southeast Asia.
Singapore has long served as a gateway for investing in Southeast Asia thanks to its independent and efficient judiciary, a conducive tax system, and business-friendly laws and regulations. Today, the city-state is one of the world’s leading financial centers, with a stable government that continues to create a welcoming environment for fund managers and other global businesses.

Our core investment objective is to deliver unconstrained absolute returns with a concentrated long-term equities portfolio comprised of positions in superior businesses globally. Our strategy focuses on capturing highly idiosyncratic bottom-up fundamental returns in mispriced change, typically due to technology disruption, market misperception or corporate governance issues.
We can assist in facilitating capital markets transactions involving Vietnam through our Singapore-regulated entity, including setting up feeder funds or fund of funds (FOF) structures tailored to our clients’ specific needs.
VCC: The Game ChangerThe Singapore Variable Capital Company (VCC) legislation represents the city-state’s latest investment fund innovation. Adding to the existing suite of legal entities that may be used as investment vehicles, the VCC can be used for all types of investment strategies. Some of the pivotal incentives of the structure include the Grant scheme by MAS to co-fund 70% of the qualifying fund setup expenses up to S$150,000 as well as the Tax Incentives scheme under sections 13R (referred to as the “Singapore Resident Fund Scheme”) and 13X (“Enhanced-Tier Fund Scheme”) of the Singapore Income Tax Act.
